Hanging Out in Lion City

We were in Singapore for long enough that we just enjoyed eating and drinking near the end of our trip. On Friday, Bethany got her hair cut at Far East Plaza, filled with stylists, nail salons, and young designer shops. Then at night, we went out for drinks and food in Kampong Glam with Kevin. On Saturday, we had lunch and drinks at Ujala's parents' place off Orchard Road. And followed that with an Indonesian lunch at Far East Plaza and beer at Brewerkz with Yee Ma and Yee Jerng (Simba was gifted three big beer bottles to bring home by the bar manager!). And finally more prawns with salty egg yolk for dinner!

The Arab Quarter's Sultan Mosque on Friday night
As usual, Bethany doesn't realize how short she is until she sees picture like these...(Kampong Glam with Kevin and take away "teh" in a baggy).
Cheers! Inside one of Haji Lane's new hipster bars. The rate of gentrification in some of these neighborhoods is really alarming. Haji Lane was totally different when B came to Singapore in 2008 and Kevin said that even in the two years he has lived in Bugis, the Arab Street area has drastically changed.
Simba is entranced by Ujala's mom at lunch
While we drank Simba slept (at Brewerkz in Clarke Quay). So Simba got three beers from the bar manager as a gift! Black Pig here we come.
I can't look. Why is Papa taking my drinks!!!!!

Back home at Yee Ma and Yee Jerng's with some alcohol. Who needs a haircut now?
