We Don't Know What Day It Is

The New Year's break has felt long and relaxing (on top of an already relaxing stay in Japan!). Tokyo's streets during the holiday vacation days feel kind of like New York's. You can feel the calmness when you walk around. It's like the entire city is taking a collective sigh of relief.

We saw many of Carlos's family members and visited his grandparents over the New Year. The last couple days, we've also been wandering neighborhoods again and visiting friends.

On Saturday, we went to Daikanyama, a nearby neighborhood about a ten minute walk from Shibuya. The Tsutaya bookstore is amazing. Art books, movies, music, an incredible coffee lounge. You could easily spend an entire afternoon if not more there. We will go again when we're back in February.

Yesterday, after a tasty brunch at Beacon with Carlos's parents, we went to Brit's apartment in Minami-Aoyama to visit his newborn. So Simba has a new friend! Then we strolled through Yoyogi Park to meet Naomi at Fuglen.

After B parked herself in front of the DVDs in a quiet corner of the store to feed Simba, a salesperson came to tell us there's even a baby room for nursing. This bookstore has everything.

See the "T's" on the side of the Tsutaya Books building?
Prada building in Omotesando. Been wanting to see this structure for awhile and happened to pass by after we left Brit's place.

I'm double her size!!

Not in the picture, but Simba is staring at our coffees (not as good as Omotesando Koffee though).
