The weather over the past weekend was finally so perfect in Melbourne. A lot of stores and restaurants are closed because of the summer holidays, but we spent a good chunk of the day wandering the CBD's laneways and streets--awesome, need to wander through more. We also caught an exhibit on Shaun Tan's books and short film at ACMI (free museum!) in Federation Square--he's a Chinese Australian animator/illustrator whose film recently won an Oscar.
Of course, we had a coffee. But the real meal of the day was the Chicken Parm at the Imperial Hotel, a pub right opposite the Parliament Building.

This chicken parm was so big even Carlos said he was glad we were sharing.
Melbourne's Chinatown (seems built for tourists mainly). There was a Shark Fin Inn.
Chicken parm is not for sharing.
