On our first full day in Sydney we went to Chinatown's food courts for lunch and tried liquid nitrogen gelato, walked through some of the Rocks and the Contemporary Art Museum, took the ferry to Manly, chilled for a bit at Manly Beach, and then gulped down Lebanese food (prevalent in Sydney) for dinner.
Simba is a good little traveler. We discovered that Simba loves the wind and shrieked with joy when it started blowing. Simba has now also been on a train, subway, car, bus, airplane, and ferry. Next up: tram!
After a bunch of walking we finally took the subway home. Sydney has double decker subway trains.
What fountain doesn't Bethany try to play in?
Eating World food court in Chinatown: as a preview to our Southeast Asia stop, we went to Pondok Selera and ordered Nasi Goreng and honey chicken (a Chinese Aussie dish). Good!!
Liquid nitrogen-made gelato. We had the pandan cheesecake flavor and didn't love it, but still an interesting concept.
Really, Mama? Not even a lick?
