Babies and Dogs

We wandered through Jiyugaoka, kind of the Brooklyn Heights (+ many more shops) of Tokyo. Don't know why NY stores don't market more of Tokyo's furniture. Everything is perfect for mini-sized apartments.

Anyway, the last few days, we've wondered why moms hold their kid in a carrier while pushing an empty stroller (cause these are the things we notice now). Today we realized why. When we walked into Bake Shop, we were immediately told they couldn't seat us cause the spots available for a stroller were occupied--no alternatives. Annoyed, we begrudgingly got something to go and then unfortunately found their cappuccino too smooth not to go back for future visits. So baby carrier it is. Besides, it seems baby carriers work for all: in Komazawa Park today, a dog sat in a similar carrier slung over his owner.

See. Apparently both babies and dogs need the same equipment.
